Working with the Catchment Improvement Groups and other partners NWKCP is busy delivering habitat improvements and community engagement projects across both catchments.

| Brooklands Lakes, Dartford | Tree work and habitat enhancements are taking place along the river through Brooklands Lakes during March. The work will increase the light levels to the channel and the creation of margins will create diversity to the flow of the river and increase the variety and abundance of plants found there. The improved habitat will benefit invertebartes, fish, birds, bats and small mammals including Water Vole. |

| Westminster Fields, Horton Kirby | Tree work has taken place along the river at Westminster Fields to increase light levels to the channel. This will increase the variety and abundance of plants found within the river and benefit invertebartes, fish, birds, bats and small mammals. | Horton Kirby and South Darenth Parish Council | ||||
| Furlongs Farm | Tree work is taking place along the river within Furlongs Farm between the 16th and 21st of March to increase light levels to the channel. The coppicing of the large willows will help to maintain their health for the future and create scrub habitat for birds. The increased light will also improve the variety and abundance of plants found within the river. |
